The ever helpful casino chip collector (and World Record Holder!) Gregg Fisher is never one to miss the opening of a new Vegas Casino venue, and so was one of the first through the door at the opening of the brand new Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels, Las Vegas. This 60,000-square foot gaming venue saw celebrities and locals alike mingling and checking out what was on offer. Mario Lopez (who appears to have stopped ageing about 20 years ago!) took the honour of tossing the ceremonial ‘first dice’ at the craps table.
With 50+ table games (roulette, blackjack, three card poker.. the list goes on) and 650 slot machines on offer, it certainly has something to offer. Opinions appear to differ on Mohegan Sun so far, with some being impressed and others commenting that the venue looked small and dark. Time will no doubt tell how the it comes to be perceived! Gregg wasted no time in exploring and has provided us with these pictures of the casinos $1 and $5 casino chips. No doubt these will become part of his already impressive collection and Guinness world record endeavours. At time of writing he’s amassed 5,422 chips/tokens.
